Christina Malyan, Esq., is the Founder and managing attorney at Malyan Law, a Super Lawyer Rising Star (2020), and rated Lead Counsel in Personal Injury, who focuses exclusively on civil litigation, primarily in catastrophic personal injury cases, and estate planning. Ms. Malyan has represented those involved in accident cases, who are in great need to fight against insurance companies. Having been in the legal field for over a decade, allows Ms. Malyan to properly manage and handle personal injuries cases, fighting for her client’s rights.
Ms. Malyan also extensive experience litigating complex cases against large automobile manufacturers, theme parks, high-profile individuals, in addition to representing consumers against the City and State. She has tried complex civil dispute case resulting in a favorable award to the client of over $8 million. She provides her clients with outstanding representation and seeks the best recovery for her clients with consideration for her clients’ personal circumstances.
Understanding the sensitive nature of catastrophic injury cases, especially individuals who are hospitalized, Ms. Malyan educates her clients and the public about having important documents in place, such as a Will, Medical Directive, and Power of Attorney. Moreover, Ms. Malyan also assists families and businesses in protecting their assets from Probate, by drafting unique Trusts and comprehensive estate planning documents. Having the love and passion to educate, Ms. Malyan is often invited to speak on the topic of estate planning, in addition to her hosting public and private seminars covering the importance of Trusts, Wills, Medical Directives, Power of Attorney.
Ms. Malyan graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) obtaining a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology. During college, Christina worked full time for NBC Studios and Nash Entertainment, Inc., and also founded the Gamma Chapter of Alpha Gamma Alpha, serving several terms as President, and Chaired the Senate Board.
Ms. Malyan moved to San Diego to attend Thomas Jefferson School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctorate Degree. Ms. Malyan received the TJSL Medal in Mediation & Honors in Directed Study. During law school, Ms. Malyan joined the Mock Trial team, competing nationwide all over the country. She also was an active researcher for the Lawyer Incubator Program at Thomas Jefferson, working closely with the founders, to launch the first of its kind program guiding law students in forming their legal solo practice.
Since high school, Ms. Malyan has volunteered and devoted her time to her community, including campaigning for Congressman Adam Schiff.
Ms. Malyan continued to participate in community outreach programs, after becoming an attorney, by helping individuals with their legal needs. She volunteered on Saturdays at the Mesereau Free Law Clinic for several years, becoming an advisory board member, providing guidance with legal matters and comfort to those in need, including hosting public seminars for the community.
Currently, Ms. Malyan serves on the Board of Directors for Heal Within International, a nonprofit organization focusing on motherless children. Finally, she enjoys traveling, learning about new cultures, cooking, snowboarding and dancing.
